I'm a staff-level product and platform engineer for systems where production judgment matters: high-traffic applications, Kubernetes/GCP operations, reliability-sensitive migrations, and AI features with explicit evaluation and failure handling.

I work remotely from Cáceres, Spain, with strong overlap across US time zones. My core stack is TypeScript, React, Node.js, SQL, and GCP/Kubernetes; the work I care about is the kind where you build it, run it, verify it, and keep it healthy in production.

Background

I own production systems and learn new platforms through delivery. For example: I ran a zero-downtime Solr production search-engine cutover. Long-running work includes systems supporting Alaska Airlines (30K+ employees), Kitco (24M annual users), ZeroHedge, and others. The common thread is ownership across product, backend, frontend, infrastructure, and production risk.

What I do today

Product and platform engineering at staff-level scope: production reliability, migrations, incident response, AI-assisted workflows, and technical leadership. Core expertise across TypeScript, React/Next.js, Node.js, SQL, GCP/GKE, and Kubernetes/Helm, with extensive experience in auth, payments, search, caching, and high-traffic content systems.

Selected outcomes

  • Atmos Advisor — training for a 30,000+ employee airline workforce on a new loyalty program, live before public launch.
  • Alaska Airlines Staffbase engineering — production recognition, search and training products, including 11,050 shoutouts and AI moderation for the entire workforce.
  • Kitco frontend & reliability — work across services supporting 24M users and 372M annual sessions, including a zero-downtime search-engine upgrade.
  • ZeroHedge comment platform migration — 40.8M documents moved across four schema versions with per-PR preview environments built along the way.
